issue propagation It used to return utf-8 data but was brittle in the conversion, and would fail downstream if the calling code did not pay attention to handle utf-8 data properly. Returning unicode forces callers to auto-cast to unicode for any string operation, saving potential trouble later. This affects the "Cursor not closed explicitly..." message. The message is at a "warning" level, but the frame inspection added some expensive overhead to each cursor open. This patch attempts a major change in the structure of the XML-RPC framework. There is one http server, capable of multiple services (except XML-RPC). That server could handle authentication, and is also HTTP/1.1 capable, which means it supports **persistent connections** ! At this commit, the old behaviour of the XML-RPC protocol is merely working. The netsvc.Service is split, so expect wizard/report breakages. External modules (koo) also break with this API.
