2021-05-17[FIX] *: update documentation links Following the recent reorganisation of ↵Victor Feyens
the documentation in 12.0+, the majority of the documents have been moved and their old links are no longer valid. Some redirection rules will soon be deployed, but those rules might be dropped in some years and we want the links to still work, which is why we still replace the links to the new ones. 2020-09-28[FIX] web_editor, *: show text tools in style tab onlyqsm-odoo
*: website As the text editor is still the summernote one, this improvement was made possible through a series of hack. It has to be reviewed once the new editor is ready. This makes the text tools only appear in the style tab by switching to it as soon as the summernote tools are updated. To prevent flickering, css and js hacks had to be made. This also moves the undo/redo buttons in the top bar with another hack: those simulates click on the hidden summernote ones. Part of https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/58638

2020-09-22[IMP] web_editor, website, *: move text tools in snippets panelqsm-odoo
*: website_event, test_website This commit is a series of hacks. The goal is to move the summernote text tools to the editor panel for the website editor. All the code to use the text tools in a top bar is kept (mass mailing, etc) and the text tools are placed at the right place for website in an ugly way. This is obviously temporary, until we can implement those text tools more generically and in a better way thanks to the new editor. 2020-08-22[IMP] web_editor, website: introduce foldable zones in the editor UIqsm-odoo
Now any set of widgets and rows can be placed in a we-collapse element so that those elements can be foldable. The first element inside (or the mentioned "string" on the we-collapse element itself) is used as the always shown element (with a toggler on its left to toggle the visibility of the other items). we-collapse inside other we-collapse is supported as well. Limitations / Other infos: - The use of '⌙' and   characters is not automatic (yet?). Sometimes it actually make sense to use them without a we-collapse or to not use them in a we-collapse. - The use of we-collapse is limited to widgets inside the same option. So unfortunately, there is no current way to add all bg image options in a folable section as those contain many different options. Maybe in the future. 2020-08-06[FIX] website: restore sub-headings edition togglingqsm-odoo
Since [1], the sub-headings edition was not possible anymore in the 'options' tab of the editor panel. This is because the visibility of rows is now automatic, depending of the visibility of the inner widgets. The custom code for that row visibility, controlled by the user, was thus not working anymore. Note: this fix solves the problem with big hacks. Better code will handle foldable zones generically. 2020-07-14[IMP] web_editor, *: review the editor design CSSqsm-odoo
*: web, mass_mailing, website, website_form, website_sale New CSS design of the editor (step 1/x). This work is unfortunately far from perfect but is a first step towards what we want. In particular, much CSS linked to elements that are meant to be removed/moved in the upcoming weeks was done in a huge rush but will thus hopefully be removed/reviewed before the 14.0 release. As the design is now far more complex including gradients and other "complex" elements, it was also very difficult to keep a design based on css-variable so this system was removed, which means that the editor now appears the same everywhere (backend, frontend, ...). The original goal of this system was to have an adapted style for backend, frontend and website visitors. Unfortunately, the current result was a very good frontend editor design, a not-so-good backend editor design (for mass mailing at least) and a totally unadapted design for the website visitors. Making this perfect will be achievable by loading different assets for those 3 areas and hopefully those assets will only differ by the values of editor scss variables. 2020-06-02[IMP] website, *: allow presets user editionqsm-odoo
*: web, web_editor Now, the user can edit each individual component of each color preset thanks to the third tab of the left panel. The edition of the first preset is the same as the others for the users but it is actually also used for "no-preset" areas, meaning that they impact the whole website by default (*without impacting the other presets*). The website thus appears as areas using presets, preset 1 being the default (in the future all areas will be customizable with a different preset). The only difference between "using preset 1 explicitely" and "not using a preset" will be that background color is transparent in no-preset, leaving the body background appear. If the body background has no image, then there is no difference at all as the background color of the body is set to be the background color of the preset 1. In boxed mode, that color is used for the "box" and the website body uses a different customizable color. Note: before this commit, the "text" color edition was used to set the main text color and one of the constrasting color for the color-yiq function (the darkest if a dark color or the lightest if a light color). That last part has been removed and automatic colors will now always use $gray-900 and $white as contrasting colors, unless changed by the theme explicitely. This needed to be removed as now the "text color" edition has been moved in the "preset 1" config and should thus only impact the "no-preset / preset 1" areas instead of all the presets. 2020-06-02[IMP] web_editor, website, *: use new color namesqsm-odoo
*: mass_mailing, website_blog, website_forum, website_hr_recruitment Deprecate alpha, beta, gamma, delta and espilon color names and now use a new color system: o-color-x, with x from 1 to 5. This will allow to review the colors of all themes to have nice visuals for the new color combinations classes, without breaking the current uses of bg-alpha, alert-delta, etc in current websites of customers (by keeping the old color and classes for compatibility). This will also allow to uniformize all themes under the same conventions to enforce BS color override: - o-color-1 used as primary (as before, for alpha) - o-color-2 used as secondary (as before, for beta) Before, some themes were not following the 2 guidelines. The users using those themes will simply have the possibility to choose o-color-1 and o-color-2 colors accordingly to restore their website without breaking the new system features. Another change is that those colors are defined through color palettes and not theme color palettes. This will avoid them to generate automatic bootstrap classes which we don't want (alert, btn) and generate the one we want by ourself. Note: for mass mailing, the colors and classes also have been renamed but the system stays unchanged. Part of https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/45856 task-2197038
2020-05-29[IMP] website: use groups_id for visibilityfja-odoo
visibility_group was used for visibility, we now use the groups_id field. groups_id is a M2M field while visibility_group was a M2O field resulting in an issue to display the M2M field in the frontend. 2020-04-27[IMP] website, *: warn user about outdated blocksfja-odoo
* = mass_mailing, web_editor, website_crm, website_event, website_form, website_forum, website_hr_recruitment, website_mail_channel, website_mass_mailing, website_sale, website_slides When an outdated snippet's option are activated we display a warning in the left panel that inform the user about the potential malfunctions. To do so the snippet's template key is added to the snippet as data-snippet. If a snippet is "t-call" inside another snippet, it will need to use t-snippet-call instead of t-call to have the key on himself. Those unique keys are used on snippet selection to retrieve the snippet's version in the left panel and compare it with the currently selected snippet's version. Versions are describe with data-vcss, data-vjs and data-vxml. If a snippet's key is not in the left panel we consider that snippet as outdated. Added some tests to ensure that t-snippet and t-snippet-call really have their template key as data-snippet Adapted the views to the data-snippet changes adding data-snippet="tmpl_key". 2020-04-16[IMP] website, web: add fullscreen mode and frontend keyboard shortcutsSamuel Degueldre
While the edit mode interface is full of useful things, it also adds a lot of clutter, and alters the page's width and thus, its layout. This commit adds keyboard shortcut for website editors to use, and allows them to enter a "fullscreen" mode that hides the editor interface while remaining in edit mode, allowing the user to have fewer distractions while editing text content, and a closer rendition of the page's final layout while editing. For this, keyboard shortcuts were required, and a few other useful shortcuts have been added, such as alt-1,2,3 for the navbar, just like in the backed. task-2126915 closes odoo/odoo#46953 Related: odoo/enterprise#9295 Signed-off-by: Quentin Smetz (qsm) <qsm@odoo.com>
2020-03-30[IMP] website: improvement regarding social imageRomain Derie
This commit introduce multiple improvements regarding social image: - (perf) Don't read ir.attachment through `social_default_image` when it is not needed. Use a stored boolean to know if the field should be accessed. This will remove one SQL query in attachment for public user. - Show website logo, not the company logo since we now have a different logo for website. - Don't show images lower than 200 width or 200 height px. Logo will be shown regardless of his size. - Don't show website logo if there is a website social_default_image. Indeed, the spec was to prevent showing logo and social_default_image if they are the same image. Technically, this is hard to identify as they could be the same image uploaded with different resolutions (media dialog), especially if one of those was uploaded through the backend and one from the frontend. It is most likely we will never correctly identify duplicate as they won't be exactly the same. For this reason, it makes more sense to hide the website logo if the social_default_image is set. It avoids every issues while it makes sense since you won't want to use the logo over the social_default_image. If you really want to, you could reupload it through the SEO media dialog. closes odoo/odoo#47848 Related: odoo/upgrade#1012 Signed-off-by: Jérémy Kersten (jke) <jke@openerp.com> Co-authored-by: Romain Derie <rde@odoo.com> Co-authored-by: Jeremy Kersten <jke@odoo.com>
2020-03-30[IMP] web_editor, *: set image alt automatically, remove useless altsSamuel Degueldre
*: website, web_unplash The html alt attribute is supposed to contain a description of an image's content (an alternative to the visual representation), a lot of snippets contained alt attributes that were not descriptive of their content, and would as such be counter-productive in terms of accessibility. This commit removes those. Previously, the alt attribute on img tags had to be set manually by the user through the editor. 2020-02-24[FIX] website: don't load ir.ui.menu in frontend until neededRomain Derie
Before this commit: When logged in and navigating on a frontend page, the accessible `ir.ui.menu` would be loaded in qcontext. Loading those menus performs alot of SQL request, up to ~2.000 requests on big databases such as Odoo.com for an user with a lot of access rights. This is not a problem on low traffic website as this is ORM cached, but when there is a lot of traffic, the cache is clear very often, thus this code only is adding a lot of requests for no reason most of the time as the user is just navigating without any intention of opening the application menu. Note that this qcontext computation in frontend was pointless in enterprise as the applications menu in frontend redirect to the backend without using it. This commit removes that computation from the qcontext. The menus will be computed and loaded only when the user really needs it, when he is about to open the application menu. closes odoo/odoo#46127 X-original-commit: 471ddf85ce619961e46fb281bf721968ff298d3b Signed-off-by: Romain Derie <rdeodoo@users.noreply.github.com>

2020-02-05[IMP] website, *: make theme custo options act as simple snippet optionsqsm-odoo

2020-02-05[REF] website, web_editor: move theme customization to edit modeSamuel Degueldre
Previously, theme customization was done through a modal dialog in the website module, this was not very user friendly since the rest of the customization for the website design was done from edit mode, meaning the user had to exit edit mode to customize things such as theme colors or fonts. It was also rather confusing to have these seemingly related things in completely unrelated places. This commit moves all of the options that used to be in the theme customization modal into a new tab in the editor's left panel. This commit is mainly just about rendering the old modal as a third left panel content. See next commit for deeper changes. 2019-10-10[FIX] website: make background videos in mega menus workqsm-odoo
When a background video was used in a mega menu, it was only working in edit mode. Indeed, the background video size is computed on page load (and on window resize) but as the video is inside a hidden dropdown menu in this case, the size cannot be properly computed. This commit fixes the issue by recomputing the video size on dropdown menu opening. task-2080590 closes odoo/odoo#38314 X-original-commit: 66ec1c19b63fe26e559ed2d8d7359df974ade789 Signed-off-by: Quentin Smetz (qsm) <qsm@odoo.com>
