Before this commit:
In the web_editor in backend, entering edit mode would display differently text
in `div` and text in `p` but not when viewing the content outside edit mode.
Now, `div` and `p` won't have different style when entering edit mode.

Before this commit, 2 usability issues were reported:
1. Some people would get stuck with unpublished content without even knowing it
since they would not understand the page is unpublished.
2. People would have a hard time finding the publish button (small toggle on
the navbar).
Now:
1. We now display a red ribbon on the top right corner specifying the page is
unpublished. Hopefully it can't be missed.
2. This publish button will be more visible for unpublished content since it
will be red (danger) color. Hopefully people will notice it at first look.
Note: It is implemented in a generic way so any 'o_switch' can be turned
into this version by simply adding the 'o_switch_danger' class to it.

Commit c06f0f3a352 changed the base navbar zindex.
But the navbar of the translation mode still had old zindex values making the
navbar invisible, in fact under the base navbar.

Depending on CSS surrounding the editor, the fullscreen component could
fail to set the editor fullscreen.
eg. if the editor is in a modal in a modal (ie. when editing a mail
template when adding an activity and creating a marketing automation
campaign) the fullscreen function would set it to 184px height away 30px
to the screen top.
With this change, `transform` css property is unset on parent elements
of the editor, this was causing the absolute editor to have an offset
parent that was not the body tag.

Before this commit:
1. The date would be displayed as UTC regardless of the user timezone.
2. The date would be sent to the backend in the browser timezone
Now we correctly take the user timezone into consideration when handling date.
Step to reproduce:
- Install a second language where time format is: %H.%M.%S or %H,%M,%S
(eg: Finnish, Bulgarian, Albanian )
- Set it as website default's language
- Open page properties dialog on any page
- The date looks correctly displayed but it is in fact the UTC hour and not
the user timezone date. (eg: 2 hours missing in Albanian case, it would
show '2018-Pri-05 02.11.02.' instead of '2018-Pri-05 04.11.02.')
- If you save, it will crash since it will send the wrong date format to the
backend that is expecting 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS' format.

Before this commit, the editor allowed defining the margin of some
elements and the height of some elements. There were three main
problems with this system:
1) When an user dragged the arrow, he often expected to change the
size of the element while he was in fact changing the margin
2) When changing the margin, you increase the space between two
elements but with a white space (while most users want a space
with the same color of the block they are resizing = padding)
3) When changing the height, the user was able to hide snippet parts
and the height was not consistent accross screen sizes
Now, the only thing you can edit is padding. There is only one arrow
for each direction, which allows increasing spacing and consistent
dimension at the same time.
The only feature that is lost with this change is the ability to
control vertical alignement of colored columns. This is not a problem
as colored columns are rare in our current snippets and there still
have the possibility to add margin classes by hand if necessary (there
are also plans to control vertical alignement another way).
Note: margin classes are kept for compatibility.

website.page = old ir.ui.view with page=True
website.redirect is a new mechanism to replace in the futur the ir.attachment
mechanism of redirect.
From now, we don't have a specific /page controller to serve 'page'.
We use a new model website.page which is rendered if none route matches the url
and that the field 'url' on website.page matches the request.httprequest.path.
The order to serve a path is:
- Routes defines in controllers (/shop, /blog, ...)
- ir.attachment with name matching the path
- website.page with url matching the path
- website.redirect with url_from matching the path
- 404
To improve:
- allow regexp in website.redirect model
- allow to edit the view_arch from the page.management via redirect backend
(needed when traceback in the page, or when modifying a js/css/less/...)

In saas-15, the LESS editor was introduced alongside the use of the
select2 library to style the <select/> element which allows to choose
the view / less file to edit. The problem is that the default behavior
of the select2 library is to open a dropdown with a max-height of 200px
and a width equals to the <select/> element (with no regards to the
dropdown content). In most cases, the dropdown was then displaying
only a few results, broken over multiple lines.
Now, the dropdown is restyled so that it has no maximum height, no set
width and more readable content.

This commit reviews the whole "JS side" of the web_editor and website
apps. This is a first step to be able to improve them with new and
better functionnalities; this commit is not supposed to change any
visual behavior.
The main goal was to achieve a structure similar to the backend one.
Now, the frontend side also has a root widget (like the WebClient)
and all other widgets are attached to it one way or another. This allows
the benefits of using the 'trigger_up' functionnality for example.
As RPC are now mainly done with the `this._rpc` functionnality (being
possible thanks to the parent hierarchy), the frontend will also be
possible to test thanks to QUnit in a future update (besides the "text"
editor side which still requires a refactoring to be able to do that).
---
Here are some of the changes:
(-) conventions and documentation
The code has been updated to follow JS conventions and a lot of code has
been commented (around +2000 lines of comment). This also means that
lots of functions have been renamed to use camelCase or simply to make
their name understandable.
See https://github.com/odoo/odoo/wiki/Javascript-coding-guidelines.
(-) deprecated: web_editor.base
The "web_editor.base" module has been split and does not force the
modules which require it to wait for DOM ready anymore. This was indeed
slowing loading times, but also prevented to use some modules in some
contexts (see the LESS editor use in web_studio which is the subject of
another task).
Now the "editor context" can be got thanks to the "web_editor.context"
JS module with its "get" function.
The "web_editor.base" module should probably not be used anymore (see
its code and recent updates).
(-) new: web.dom_ready
If a JS module should wait for the DOM to be ready to be executed, a
new JS module has been created: "web.dom_ready". This should always
be used in a module which only want to instantiate stuff. Do not
extend (or worst, include) classes after DOM ready.
(-) website.website
The "website.website" module has been split. "website.website" does not
return anything useful anymore, it just initialize some miscellaneous
stuff, without waiting for the DOM to be ready. You might want to check
"website.utils", "website.content.compatibility" or `WebsiteRoot`. Also
`website.form` has been deleted (use `this._rpc`), so has been
`website.error`. `website.prompt` will be removed in a future update to
be replaced by `Dialog.prompt`.
(-) widgets are great
Many classes which were not widgets are now widgets. This allows them to
use the 'events', the 'xmlDependencies' and the 'this._rpc' features for
example. Here are some of the main ones:
- Snippet options: these were classes with a `$el` for the menu element
and `$target` for the customized element. This is still the case
but following standard `Widget` structure (one exception: using
`this.$(...)` searches in the `$target` as before this update).
- Snippet animations: instead of class instances with a `$target`
element which can be `start` and `stop`, these are now standard
widgets which can be `start` and `destroy`. `this.$target` is
an alias to `this.$el` for ease of compatibility.
- Snippet editors: instead of class instances in charge of an editor
overlay, these are now widgets. Each "child" snippet editor is
properly attached as a "child", which allows editors to communicate
and to be properly destroyed.
(-) root widgets and website navbar
The frontend is different of the backend. In the backend, the page has
an empty <body/> element and all the components are instantiated from
parent to children (i.e. the `WebClient` is instantiated and is in
charge of instantiating the `ControlPanel`, etc). The frontend cannot
work like that on page loadings as they are way more frequent than in
the backend and we do not want them to flicker. A frontend page is
loaded as a <body/> element which already contains the website navbar
and its menus and the whole content page. JS code has to be "attached"
to these existing elements. This is possible thanks to the `RootWidget`
instances and the specialized `WebsiteRoot`, `IframeRoot` and
`WebsiteNavbar` (see code for details).
(-) lazy loading
No more (or at least a lot less) XML/JS has to be loaded on page
loading, thanks to the use of the `Widget.xmlDependencies` feature.
XML which have to be lazy loaded is loaded only on related Widget
instantiation if necessary, which allows to execute a lot of JS code
before the DOM is ready and to start many widgets on DOM ready (not
later). A visual benefit of this is clicking on the 'edit' button as
soon as it is possible: before this commit, this was sometimes not
doing anything as event handlers were not binded yet.
Still a possible exception: loading the session and locales. This may
be asynchronous stuff which is still required before widget
instantiations but this will be the subject of another task.
(-) deprecated code and code location
More than reviewing code and organizing it, many apparent dead code was
removed. More importantly, mislocated code was put in the right app.
This is the case for snippet animations which is a concept for website
apps but was defined in the web_editor app, or some translation concepts
which were part of website but should have been part of web_editor.

There are probably more things to say about this commit but I will let
the comments speak for those.

Uppercase style shouldn't be applied to all btns by default.
The usage should be set progressively, following an importance criteria.
If we design everything as important (uppercase), nothing will be
perceived as important anymore.

- Cleaner design
- Reduce element size
- Use LESS variables to simplify maintenance.
- Switch from ‘em’ to ‘ex’ measure units.
- Remove :hover state (not useful).
|
|
- Clearly show margins' size on editing
- Top margin icons/cursors: by an user point of view, adding a
margin-top will move the content 'down', so change handler's icons
and cursors accordingly
- Highlight handles during editing and if previously edited
- Vertically center handle's icon if enough room is available

web_editor can be installed without website, thus missing needed CSS
causing e.g the widget sidebar to overlay and hide the mass mailing
content if website is not installed.
This fix implement a simple middle ugly solutions, but doing something
more in stable would be an hassle (for example in 88c2b684 the #wrapwrap
CSS is included in report module).

- t-install attribute holds the technical name of the module that
needs to be install to use a particular snippet.
- Disable the drag & drop feature for these dummy snippets.
- Move some images to website module.
- Installed snippets display at the top of the list.
- Hide not-installed module snippets if user don't have rights to install module.

Since the new views merge, a lot of design elements were broken. This
was particularly impacting the fields in the editable list view; indeed
the editable list view is not using an inline form view anymore so the
fields in the list were not properly styled as the LESS was still
defined assuming the form view environment (for example the invalid
fields were red for o2m fields in form view but not in editable list
view even though they got the right CSS class).
This commit refactor the LESS following these rules:
- No more division of non-layout and layout rules. Dividing LESS rules
in x_layout.less and x.less was a mistake. Many rules can be
considered to be layout and not layout at the same time, developers
always have to switch from one file part to the other, many CSS
selectors (and rules!) are duplicated for nothing, ...
- Field style is extracted from x_view.less and put in the new
fields.less file. As before, the fields_extra.less will contain the
rules specific to community so that the enterprise repo can override
those by replacing the whole file.
- Many classes have been renamed so that o_form_x_y becomes o_x_y as
many classes can now be applied outside of form view. These classes
should not be used in templates anyway.
The commit also changes the DOM of fields so that it is more minimalist
(no useless parent div, etc).
Input elements are not automatically styled anymore, they have to get
the o_input class explicitely. This allows to fix lots of small style
bugs of previous versions (required monetary field had not the proper
style, readonly m2m tags appeared as editable, ...). This also improves
the LESS code.
The editable list view should also completely stop flickering on chrome
and firefox.
The commit also removes the orange outline on list view dirty cells.
The commit also removes deprecated static xml, LESS and other code.
Notice there are still styles to restore/fix and LESS to improve.

Commit 3c9e6c89e7207636c1bdab4ed8118c0c1089d43e made big changes to the
link editor dialog... but also broke many features with it.
Commit 9a1ea6dc08af8b6dc5c5a47277f03f662094d4b2 already fixed some of
them but this commit fixes a bigger one. Indeed, the menu edition
feature was totally broken since the changes. Also, the DOM was messy
which broke form navigation, etc.
This commit also simplifies the LESS which was uselessly big.

The select DOM element which allows to select the template or
the LESS file to edit has been replaced by a select2 element
to improve usability.
- Add search bar
- Allow to add "customized", "unsaved changes" and level indentation
a better way (styled and icons)
- Add debug info (full less url / xml_id) only in debug, in small

The old "HTML" editor now handles LESS edition. The editor has now a
button to switch between XML and LESS edition. By default, it only
displays the odoo files which only appear in the assets_frontend bundle
and in debug mode, it allows to see all the files that influenced the
page design.
The new editor has a new set of options which allows to use it as a
xml editor only or a less editor only if needed.
Also: make the "include bundles" option appear only in debug mode.
Technical details:
- When saving a modified LESS file, an attachment is created with the
full modified content and an extension view xpaths the bundle where
the original file was added to link this attachment instead. This
relies on the fact that qweb, when generating assets bundle,
replaces missing files by the "datas" contents of the ir.attachment's
which have an "url" field equal to the urls it is searching.
- If a LESS error is introduced, the recent changes in assets bundle
generation (see c248674a5c615c9db113357eec9d9adaf50b888e) will not break
the design but only open a dialog on page loading, with the LESS error.
The user can then go to the LESS editor and reset its changes.
This feature code has been started with original work of @pga-odoo

This commit comments some LESS files to help the user to understand
for what their content is used (preparing the LESS editor feature).

Commit 3c9e6c89e7207636c1bdab4ed8118c0c1089d43e made big changes
to the link dialog.
This commit fixes two bugs it introduced:
* The color class preview was not properly set when opening a dialog
(so changing nothing and saving would change the result)
* New btn color classes were wrongly initialized. It did not use less
generation and made the button text always white. This could
introduce bugs when using different colors in themes.
Note: this code is already being refactored anyway.
