The read_group method will ignore and display a warning when giving an
order on a non-aggregable field. Therefore, when accessing a list of
record from a list view group by some field and ordered on another one,
a warning will appear in logs (making the nightly clikall test yellow)
The solution here is to only order by current group by field and on
aggregable fields. We want to keep the user order to know the ASC/DESC
information.

Purpose
=======
The 'CREATE' operation lacked the possibility to handle multiple records.
The 'context' parameter is now an array of dict that contains the context for each new record.
This is usefull when you want to create multiple records into a list in a single call.
Please note that the 'default_get' is still called once for each record in an async way.

Task #1871557
Purpose
=======
- Configure a product from a sales order as easily as in the ecommerce
The backend uses the same template as the frontend to configure a products and its options
- Display optionnal products of optionnal products in the "sale options" section
- Allow adding exlusions to some combinations of the product and/or
to some combinations of the optionnal and accessory products
Specification
=============
PHASE I
1. Improve the "Add to cart" with optional products
- When you add an option to cart, move the product to the cart & show the options of this option
- Don't open the option wizard if no option available (in case this module becomes generic,
it's better to skip this step when it's not needed)
- Display the options right under their related product in the cart
2. Do not allow to add the product as an optional product for itself
Why ?
- No functional sense
- Creates issues in the add to cart wizard
3. Exclude some attribute combinations within the product or with related options and accessory products
- Rename VARIANT PRICES button -> CONFIGURE VARIANTS
- When you click this button and select a value, open form view rather than inline edition
- Form view of variant values:
- Attribute
- Value
- HTML Color Index
- Attribute Price Extra
- Not Compatible with: o2m tab with 2 fields: Product AND Attribute Value (of this product)
[m2m tag selection]
- in any new line, autocomplete the current product by default
- Tooltip: A list of product and attribute values that you want to exclude for
this product's attribue value. Also applies on optionnal and accessory products.
4. New option to configure a product in a sales order line
- This option is only visible if the corresponding option is activated in the sales settings
- It opens a wizard to select a product template, configure related attribute values
and select optional products (based on frontend view)
- Attributes not compatible with other selected attributes should not be selectable
- Must work like in the frontend

With this commit, we limit the kanban view to 10 open groups
at the start. This is useful to prevent the web client to make
too many requests at once.
This limit is set in the constant 'OPEN_GROUP_LIMIT'.
Note:
- columns already set as folded by default aren't take into account.
- the user can still open any folded column, as usual.

This commit fixes a few issues with the previous implementation of the
automatic addition of new lines in x2many inside forms
1. Before this commit, when there is a change of mode in a formview
`edit` -> `readonly` -> `edit`, there may be some cases that
mistakenly and automatically opens a modal.
This case occurs in a form view with a x2many field whose 1st inner
focusable element opens a modal (e.g. "Add an item").
In `edit` mode:
1. Open this modal from the x2many
2. Close the modal
3. Change mode to `readonly`
4. Change mode to `edit`
> the same modal is automatically open.
This is due to the tracking of the last activated field that persists
after a change of mode. Since the last activated field in the 1st
`edit` is the x2many, it is granted the focus at the beginning of the
2nd `edit`, which automatically opens the modal.
This commit fixes the issue by resetting the tracking of the last
activated field when there is a change of mode. As a result, at the
beginning of the 2nd `edit`, the focus should always be on the 1st
field.
2. Before this commit, if the focus was moved out of the form (to a modal
for instance) then back, the form would re-activate the last field, which
is the x2many and would re-add a new line. This behavior is not correct
and now going back from a modal to a form does not add a new line.

Before this change, when the focus was on the first field on a x2many
field, and the user pressed TAB, the line would be discarded and the
focus moved to the next field (at the level of the x2many) in the form.
This was an issue because if the first field was required, the focus
could not be moved out of the field with TAB so the user had to discard
the line manually (with ESC) before moving to the next field
This change works with 2 changes:
1. detecting if a line is dirty (has been modified by the user) and at
the end of the line, decide to either
- discard the line and move the next field, if the line is not dirty
- commit the line and add a new line, if the line is dirty
2. allow users to use TAB through required field inside x2many so they
can easilly go to the end of the line.

Rev. db9b91ff removes a use of a mutex where it could end up in a
deadlock situation (and where the use of the mutex wasn't
necessary). However, it caused an issue as the following scenario
didn't work anymore:
- in a form view with a one2many with fields A and B (required),
with an onchange on A setting B,
- add a row and set a value for A,
- click on 'Save' directly (before the onchange RPC returns)
- whereas it should wait for the onchange to return before
trying to save, it tries to save directly but faces an unset
required field, and displays a warning to the user.
The reason is that, before saving, the FormController asks all its
widgets to commit their value (through a call to commitChange).
This call was, prior to db9b91ff, done in the mutex. The onchange
RPC being itself done in that mutex, we thus waited for the
onchange to return before calling commitChanges. After db9b91ff,
since there was no longer a mutex, commitChanges was called
directly, and the editable list returned a warning as one of its
required field was unset.
This commit ensures that commitChanges is called once all onchange
RPCs are done, by waiting the mutex to be idle.

This rev. removes a deadlock situation that could *theoretically*
occur, but that was actually hard to reach in practice.
Before saving a record (e.g. in a form view), all field widgets
are asked to commit their value (in case they wouldn't have
notified the model yet, e.g. because the user just changed them).
For instance, let's assume that the user fills an input field, and
then triggers the save. In practice, by triggering the save, it
will force the widget to notify the model of its new value (because
it looses the focus). This is also the case using keyboard
navigation, as it actually simulates clicks. So when the widget is
asked to commit its value right after, it has nothing more to
commit.
This is fortunate, because if it actually had something to commit,
we would end up in a deadlock ('commitChanges' is executed in a
mutex, and if the widget triggers a new value, '_applyChange' is
called, and is executed in that mutex as well). In fact, executing
'commitChanges' in a mutex is useless, as '_applyChange', which is
called when a widget has something to commit, is already executed
in the mutex.
So this rev. removes the use of the mutex in 'commitChanges'.
Doing so broke several Many2One tests, because they wrongly relied
on the presence of the mutex for scenarios where the user quick
creates a relational record, and then directly saves (before the
relational record is actually created). We thus handled that
usecase properly to make the tests pass.

Let x_1, ..., x_a, x_{a+1}, ..., x_{a+k}, x_{a+k+1}, ..., x_{n} be a record
sequence ordered by its 'sequence' field.
Suppose the reordering occurs between elements x_{a+k} and x_{a+1}.
If the subsequence x_1, ..., x_a is ordered, then it does not change.
This is also true of the subsequence x_{a+k+1}, ..., x_{n}.
The resquence function makes exactly this assumption, and only sends the server
the subsequence x_{a+1}, ..., x_{a+k} to update its 'sequence' field.
The update of x is done as follows: it is index + offset, where index is the
position of x in the subsequence, and offset is the 'sequence' of the first
element of the sequence (i.e. x_{a+1}.sequence).
It is easy to see that we need another hypothesis: that the sequence numbers are
unique. To show it, suppose that the sequence of x_1, ..., x_a is 0, then all
x_{a+1}, ..., x_{a+k} have sequence 1, and lastly all x_{a+k}, x_{a+k+1}, ...,
x_{n} have sequence 2. Then after the call to the server resequence, the
subsequence x_{a+1}, ..., x_{a+k} would have sequence numbers 1, 2,..., k.
Since the x_{a+k+1}, ..., x_{n} subsequence have 'sequence' value 1, this would
obviously be incorrect.
We fix the reordering of the data in the js frontend to be consistent with
what is done by the server.
Note that this is only pertinent for sequences of reordering moves, since
otherwise the data comes directly from the server.

The default "add a line" button creates a new line with the default values from the model. Sometimes we want to create a new line with different default values (or more generally a customized context), which is possible with this commit. Moreover it is possible to create multiple buttons for multiple default values/contexts.
This works both for in-line creation ("editable=") and dialog creation.
The new tags are:
<control> defines custom controls for the current view.
Does not support any attribute, but can have children:
<create> adds a button to create a new element on the current list.
This makes sense when the parent tree view is inside a One2many field.
If any create is defined, it will overwrite the default "add a line" button.
For more information and example, have a look at the Views documentation.
Technically, the commit will:
- parse the new XML tags (+ add appropriate validation)
- display the buttons based on the XML
- on button click/keyboard: pull up the additional context information from the button event up to the default_get
- add unit tests
- add documentation

In this commit, we implement a function which allow to combine
a list of domains into a single normalized using a 'OR' or an
'AND' operator.
We also refactor slightly py_utils.
|
|
The pyeval name is quite confusing, given that there is already an eval
and an evaluate function in py.js, and that the web.pyeval exports two
evaluate functions.
Since this file is more about odoo specific customization to py.js, it
is renamed in py_utils to better express its intended use.

multiple pages
Suppose there is a one2many field embedded in a one2many,
(say we are viewing record A with one2many field B itself with a one2many C).
Furthermore, there is a second page of the one2many field B.
If an onchange is applied on B, then the server replies with a 1 command for all
B records attached to the currently viewed object A.
This includes a list of commands [[5], [4, C_id]*] for each B record,
in particular B records that are on the second page.
Since they are on the second page, they might not have been fetched by the
frontend; in that case the corresponding C_ids are thus unknown.
As a consequence, on save the frontend sends a command 0 to create the records
for all unknown C_ids.
Since it doesn't have any value to give to the 0 command, the row creation
usually crash in the backend.
Another wrong behaviour is fixed at the same time: if the server sends an update
on the list of C ids with 4 commands.
In that case, if the record has not been prefetched, we have no way to know
if the list changed or not.
To solve this, when we receive the 4 commands by the server, we send back 4
commands.

Before this commit, there was a traceback in the following scenario:
Let's have a kanban view with groupby and a domain.
If we clear the domain then clear the groupby, there could be a crash.
This crash occurs because when we clear the groupby, it performs a `reload`,
and assumes that the datapoint contains grouped data. However, if this
computation takes some time, it is possible to overwrite the datapoint so that
there is no longer grouped data.
This commit fixes the issue by enforcing at most 1 execution of the method
`reload` active at any time. Consequently, successive reloads operations are
now much slower.
Note that it uses the single non-reentrant mutex on the basic_model to enforce
this rule, which means:
- No more concurrent `reload` and `save`.
- If an execution having the mutex in `reload` come accross the same mutex,
it is blocked forever. This is hopefully not the case at the moment,
however a reentrant mutex should be considered in the future.

This fixes the following bug:
Creating an Invoice, clicking on Validate (with no invoice line), and then trying to add a product.
Before this fix, this would throw an error message.
Now it works.
|
|
The sequence had a static default value, but when there is an handle, it's important that new items are added at the top or the bottom of the list.
This is a rare case where the defaul_get from the server will be ignored by the view for a certain field.
This will work:
- both in editable mode (inline) and in dialog mode,
- both for X2Many and standalone list.
|
|
The scenario is:
- create a new parent model, which has a one2many
- add at least 2 one2many lines which have:
- a handle field
- a many2one, which is not required, and we will leave it empty
- reorder the lines with the handle
This will call a resequence, which calls a name_get.
With the bug that would throw an error at the RPC, but this commit fixes it.

Let's assume a one2many A inside a form view, such that the one2many
views (list, not editable, and form) are defined inline, and there is an
onchange on A. There is another inline one2many B editable list
displayed in the inner form view (and B isn't in the list). There are
two records on the one2many A, both of them having one record in their
one2many B. Edit the first record of A, and edit it's subrecord in B.
Click on save. This triggers an onchange on A and the onchange returns a
command 5 (DELETE_ALL), and two commands 1 (UPDATE). Now edit the second
record of A, and simply close the dialog (e.g. 'Discard'). Save the main
record: the record in one2many B of the second record of A has been duplicated.
This occured because the code in BasicModel messed up information coming
from the onchange (UPDATE command) and from the read (performed when
opening the second record), thus producing a CREATE command instead of
an UPDATE one.
This rev. ensures to properly mix the read data with the onchange
result, by transfering the changes over the list datapoint created after
the read.

Let's assume a one2many list with two fields A and B, and an
onchange on A that sets B. Before this rev., on new records, the
onchange was only triggered if the one2many list was defined
inline.
Rev. 13c885195 was an attempt to fix the onchange issue in x2manys
with non inline views, but it only worked on existing records. This
rev. fixes the problem for both cases (existing and new records),
and thus reverts the fix of 13c885195.
The idea of this fix is to make both cases behave similarly, w.r.t.
fields and viewFields stuff in the fieldsView. In the inline case
(like in the main view case), fields and viewFields are the same.
In the non inline case, viewFields contained more information than
fields. As fields is used everywhere in BasicModel (and viewFields
is basically ignored), the fix is to set fields to viewFields.

Revision on b09f0c99
The intent of the previous commit was to no drop records in a list
on discard in the following cases:
- when they have been created from a `default_get`
- when they have been created from an `onchange` that result
from a `default_get`
Before the commit above, the kind of records that were abandoned
in those cases are stated as invalid, which happens when a record
has a required field that is empty.
The case of an `onchange` that is not involved in a `default_get`
was not considered in the fixes above. In fact, this is the intent
behaviour in most cases. However, if the items in the list are
created from such an `onchange`, we should not drop them.
This commit fixes the bug where records in a list that are created
from an `onchange` are wrongly abandoned. Here is the new logic to
abandon a record on discard in a list:
- the record that is marked as "do not abandon" should not be
abandoned;
- a record that is registered as a "not new addition" in the
list should not be dropped;
- a record that is registered as a "new addition" in the list,
and has been updated afterwards, should not be dropped;
- a record that is not new should not be dropped;

It is sometimes useful to be able to customize slightly the color of a
field depending on some conditions on the current record.
For example, imagine that we want to show a VAT number field in green/red, if
it was validated or not. To do that, we can add a field with an
onchange, and simply add decoration-danger and decoration-success
attributes to the field.

Have a model A with a o2m to B.
In the list have a field B > m2o > C
Also have a sequence field (widget handle) on B
Then Create a record A
Arrange yourself to have two new records B popping right away (through an onchange)
in the o2m. Their C field have to be empty
Resequence those two B lines with the handle
Before this commit, there was a traceback when trying to do an name_get on the C fields
Since both of them are empty, there is no record in the localData
Hence, no model. And also no records anyway, so no need to do a name_get
After this commit, there is no traceback, the name_get is avoided when no data is to be fetched
