If the chat window was initially folded and when a new message is received the chat window automatically unfolds. it is annoying having a window that pops up each time a new message is coming while having folded it once. 2021-04-07[FIX] mail: small image attachment preview too small for its boxDhruv Patel
In the chatter, the attachment preview image size is fixed with 160*160 but the actual preview area is 200*200px so the image is not filling correctly. It appears padding around the image, especially visible when hovering it. So with this commit, We should make sure to use a properly sized image in the preview. we have to also provide the perfect resolution and preview for the small images without upscaling incorrectly. if you check on any chatter with a lot of messages, you will see that it starts loading all the messages as soon as you scroll down even just 1 pixel. This makes a lot of loading of the messages for no reason unnecessarily. What should happen instead is that it should load more message only when scrolling all the way down to the bottom.This works fine in chatwindow & discuss. With this commit, resolved this issue by providing the exact scrollable element to the message list from parent component to the child. so with proper element we can have proper scrollable heights and other dimensions as well to handle load more messages properly. The code from v13 used to look for partners in JS before making the RPC, which was much faster, and also gave better results by returning partners that were already known and therefore more likely to be selected. Currently, In channels listing, the order of the channels is case sensitive. The Uppercase names are listing first and then all the Lowercase ones. but it should be displayed in the alphabetical case insensitive order. With this commit, we have resolved this issue and now channels are listing in case insensitive alphabetical manner. 2021-01-28[FIX] mail: make Inbox counters more reliable in mark as read flowsSébastien Theys
- Send the new Inbox counter when marking as read, to guarantee the JS has the correct value (instead of having to guess it which was impossible when an arbitrary domain was given to the method). NOTE: Manual increment is kept on receiving a new Inbox message because that one was reliable and it would have been more tricky to compute the new counter for each target partner (mark as read is one user doing an action for himself, whereas new message is from another user to potentially many different users). Generic counter for threads is also not sent on every change for similar reasons. - Refresh Inbox automatically when some messages are marked as read and there are more message on the server than currently loaded. - Remove confusing (and impossible to maintain) counter on non-origin threads (in particular channel followers). Before this commit, an event listener was still active after the removal of the attachment viewer, which caused the the onLoad function to be called on an removed component if the component was unmounted before the image was loaded. This commit fixes this issue by adding the eventListener through the owl template.
