[MERGE] mail: add tests for mail gateway (and clean bits of code)
Purpose: pre-merge of small code cleaning and tests improvements for
task 1853147.
Includes: fetchmail code cleaning, fix in mail and improved tests for
mail gateway.
closes odoo/odoo#32974
